The First Step

Once a woman turns 23, chances of pregnancy begin to decrease slightly each year. If repeated attempts to conceive are not successful, we recommend coming in for some basic testing in the hands of a specialist. A physician who practices a broad range of obstetrics/gynecology may not have the expertise or time to devote to determining your unique situation - and time is of the essence.

Here to Help

We are here to help determine the best course of action for you - there is never any pressure to commit or obligation to begin any expensive or complicated treatment. Our services are available to:

  • Couples that have been trying to conceive for six months or longer with no success
  • Women with medical issues that may affect their reproductive system who want to preserve their eggs for future use
  • Single women who would like to be mothers

Treating the Patient, Not the Condition

At the initial consultation, you will meet with one of our specialists to discuss your specific circumstances. Some of our more common treatments include:

  • Fertility Pills: A simple lack of ovulation can be treated with a fertility pill, such as Clomid, which stimulates ovulation. Couples may then use either natural conception or insemination, where we process the man's sperm and place it into the uterus around the time of ovulation. Success rates are very high.

  • Fertility Hormonal Injections: We teach women how to give themselves injections everyday for 8 to 10 days and then perform an insemination. The effectiveness of this treatment is age dependent, but success rates are high.

  • In Vitro Fertilization: This is the most aggressive treatment, but also the most effective. It can be done using a woman's own eggs or with donor eggs. After taking fertility hormonal injections, sometimes at a higher dose, we retrieve the woman's eggs and fertilize them with the man's sperm. The eggs are watched closely over the course of a few days and embryos are then placed in the woman's uterus. The effectiveness of this treatment is age dependent, but success rates are high.

Pregnancy rates for any type of treatment are program specific. It is very important to note that certain differences affect the rates from clinic to clinic. While some clinics may refuse a difficult case, we are willing - and more importantly able - to help, even in cases where other clinics have failed.

A Complete Cycle of Care

To help couples understand each treatment phase, we provide written materials, education by physicians and staff, an orientation session if IVF is required, and access to our patient library. For additional help with the emotional aspects of treatment, our on-site psychologist offers a full range of support services and stress reduction programs.
