Becoming a Donor

Our New York State-licensed Oocyte (Egg) Donation Program is one of the largest and most successful in the country. If you are a healthy female between the ages of 21 and 32, we encourage you to do something extraordinary – help a woman experience the happiness of carrying and delivering a baby, and raising a child!

Whether a result of disease, genetic abnormalities, the absence of ovaries, ovarian failure or age, some women are unable to produce healthy oocytes (eggs). Their option is to obtain eggs from another woman who is willing to donate hers.

Due to our high standards for donor screening, the expertise of our team in matching appropriate donors and recipients, and the skill of our physicians and laboratory staff in producing excellent results, we are able to provide a mutually rewarding experience for both our donors and our patients.

About the Donation Process
Screening will take 2-4 weeks, depending on your schedule. The actual ovum donation process takes three to four weeks and will only begin after screening and once our program coordinators have matched you with a recipient or recipient couple.

Donor Compensation
All costs associated with screening and treatment are paid for by the program, plus you receive generous compensation for your time commitment.

Risks and Other Considerations
While most donors generally do not have problems, you will be fully apprised of all of the possible risks of being an oocyte donor as part of the informed consent process.
