Dr. Nicole Noyes contributed to a Chicago Tribune article exploring egg freezing as an option for women who wish to preserve their fertility. Oocyte cryopreservation, the technical name for egg freezing, is a promising way for women whose medical treatments may render them infertile to possibly have a viable pregnancy. The procedure is also being used by some women who are healthy, but for personal reasons wish to defer reproduction.
