Dr. Elizabeth Fino joined the NYU Langone Fertility team in 2009 after completing her subspecialty training in Reproductive Endocrinology and Infertility at the NYU Langone Fertility Center of the New York University School of Medicine. Dr. Fino obtained her undergraduate degree from Georgetown University, where she was a recipient of the prestigious National Institutes of Health Predoctoral Intramural Research Training Award. She went on to receive her medical degree from Temple University School of Medicine and completed her residency training in Obstetrics and Gynecology at New York University Langone Medical Center.

Dr. Fino is double board-certified in obstetrics and gynecology as well as in reproductive endocrinology and infertility from the American Board of OB/GYN. She is experienced in all areas of infertility and gynecologic surgery. She has special interest and expertise in fertility preservation and oocyte cryopreservation, in vitro fertilization, preimplantation genetic screening and minimally invasive surgery.

Dr. Fino is an Assistant Professor in the Department of Obstetrics and Gynecology at the New York University School of Medicine where she is active in resident and medical student education. She is a Fellow of the American College of Obstetrics and Gynecology and an active member of the American Society for Reproductive Endocrinology (ASRM), the Fertility Preservation Special Interest Group of the ASRM, the Society for Reproductive Endocrinology and Infertility (SREI), and the International Society for Fertility Preservation. She has received numerous awards from NYU including the Mortimer Levitz Award for Best Research Paper entitled Fertility Preserving Treatment of Endometrial Carcinoma and the Barton Memorial Award for Graduating Honor Resident. She has been recognized several times by the New York Obstetrical Society for outstanding contribution.

Dr. Fino has pursued several areas of research including fertility preservation in endometrial cancer, mullerian anomalies, multiple births in ovulation induction, preimplantation genetic screening, and early embryogenesis. She was a recipient of the Berlex Junior Faculty Development Award and she received a prize video award at the 64th Annual Meeting of the Society for Reproductive Medicine for her work evaluating tripronuclear zygotes using time-lapse microscopy.
