The May 2011 issue of Vogue Magazine features an article on egg freezing by Nancy Hass. The article, entitled "Time to Chill?", shares the experience of one of Dr. Frederick Licciardi's egg-freezing patients, who has decided to electively freeze her eggs to preserve her fertility.

Elective egg freezing gives infertility doctors a new role to play in the field of reproductive medicine. Speaking of his egg freezing patients, Dr. Licciardi shares, "You're used to feeling that you're a last-ditch effort, a savior, and this is very different because you're intervening at a much earlier stage in their lives." And the technology is making an impact. "The science of egg freezing is finally at a place where it's making a real difference in people's lives and futures," adds Dr. Jamie Grifo.
